Culture Syndicates’ audience development research informed the refurbishment of Framework Knitters Museum during their £100,000 Heritage Lottery grant funded project. This represented a step change for the organisation, allowing it to begin positioning itself as an innovative leader in audience engagement and a museum of national, even international, importance. The project created two galleries, involving local audiences and improving site access.
Culture Syndicates’ work allowed the museum to reach new audiences. We promoted the new galleries and forged a new relationship with the Nottinghamshire Disabled People’s Movement.
Culture Syndicates undertook a full evaluation of activities, writing the final Heritage Lottery Fund report. This significantly reduced the workload of the Manager and gave an impartial view of activities.
